
John brings a volume of experience to his role as Executive Director of Miss Capital City. He holds a degree in Music Education and taught in that field for 10 years, winning multiple state and national band awards during that time. During his tenure of teaching John sat on the Kentucky Music Educators Association Marching Band Board. He continues to provide Music Educational consulting expertise. John was involved in the Miss East Kentucky Pageant as a performer. He has also been involved in Drum Corps International and Drum Corps Associates Drum and Bugle Corps and continues to perform with Assembly Line Winter Guard. John resides in Raleigh, NC and is employed in the pharmaceutical industry.

Evan is part owner of Pine Straw Distributors of Raleigh. A native of the capital city, she and her husband Chad, are the proud parents of two children, Madison and Crosby. Evan volunteers in a variety of community programs including Habitat for Humanity and provided aid to victims of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, LA. She is also heavily involved with the Miss NC Carolina Princess Program locally.







Leslie Price Lasher grew up in Johnston County where she enjoyed participating in local pageants and theatre. She attended Elon University where she studied theatre and political science and was an active member of Twisted Measure, Elon’s co-ed A Cappella Group. After graduating from Elon University, she attended Elon University School of Law. She now resides in Hillsborough with her husband, Mark, and their dog Zip. She and is an Attorney with Teague Campbell Dennis & Gorham in Raleigh, North Carolina and enjoys performing and volunteering with the North Carolina Theatre in Raleigh, North Carolina, and judging Miss North Carolina Preliminaries.
