Life is about have, and have nots. One week ago I shed many tears, some of happiness, and some of sadness. What I have reflected on in the past week is something that I will always remember.

Sometimes what you get is exactly what you need. Never in my life would I of imagined that a loss in one part of my life, would lead to success in another. I poured my heart into everything I did on the stage. When preparing for Miss NC Outstanding Teen 2017 I did everything that I could, and knowing that has given me peace of mind. What I’ve taken most from this experience is that I had a purpose before anyone had an opinion. Though I don’t know my purpose yet, I know it is something larger than I can imagine.

So, to all the young girls watching; don’t be afraid to fall. Though it may feel like the end, if one door closes another one will always open. Be the best version of you, and know that you are TRULY invaluable.
