Ashtin Gill, Miss Clayton 2016, receives Miss North Carolina Heart of Service Award
CLAYTON, NC – Mar 5, 2016 – The 2016 Miss Clayton & Miss Capital City Scholarship Pageant will take place on Saturday, March 5. This year’s event returns to The Clayton Center and will start at 6:30 PM. Tickets may be purchased in advance from the Clayton Center Box Office at a discounted rate and will be full price the day of the event. On Saturday, the box office will open at 5:30 PM. Local Miss North Carolina and Miss North Carolina Outstanding Teen titleholders will receive complimentary entry.
Twenty-four contestants, ranging in age from 13 to 24, will be competing for the titles of Miss Clayton, Miss Clayton’s Outstanding Teen, Miss Capital City and Miss Capital City’s Outstanding Teen. All four will compete for state level titles and further scholarship prizes in June on the Miss North Carolina stage.
Proceeds from ticket and raffle sales will benefit the Miss Clayton & Miss Capital City Scholarship Fund, which will award over $2000 in scholarships again this March and is part of the Miss America Organization, the largest scholarship providing organization for women in the world.
